UK Government expects 10% declines!
The housing minister, Caroline Flint’s first page briefing at the first full cabinet meeting gave an indication as to the state of the UK housing market. According to the government, they expect house prices in the UK to fall between 5% to 10% later this year. I would think that this news coming from a government that needs to win the next election is too optimistic; it’s going to be a lot worse, before it gets better. The housing market is in a very healthy correction, and the current trends are very encouraging for this creates buying opportunities.
